Classes are well under way and everyone seems to be having a good time. I am enjoying it so much, I dreamed about teaching the zippers last night! I love it!!
Well, my classes have started and seem to be off to a good start. My beginner class has 11 people! I was supposed to have a limit of 8 but due to some errors, etc., there are more. Oh, well. I will make it work.
Well, first things first; need to wash the fabric. And since I need to get laundry done, I am doing the fabric, too. Probably won't get to the actual pinning and cutting until tomorrow.
National Sewing Month Tip #1: When creating buttonholes always use a piece of lightweight fusible interfacing on the wrong side of the fabric to stabilize your buttonhole.
http://www.facebook.com/simplicitypatterns I am looking forward to the 3 day weekend coming up. I have a lot of sewing to do. I made some things for the grandchildren and when I visited recently, the went with me to the fabric store and picked out material for additional items. Since it is supposed to be hot and rainy here so being outside won't be much fun, It will be a good time to do my sewing. I hope to have some pictures to post soon.
OK. Since I have a site, I thought it would be fun to start a blog. I don't have a lot of experience with blogging so I will be learning as I go. I hope to make some new friends, learn more about sewing and maybe help some others learn more, too.
